A slewing bearing is a large special-purpose bearing with a special structure that can simultaneously withstand large combined loads including axial loads, radial loads and overturning moments, integrating multiple functions such as support, rotation, transmission and fixation.
Before installing the Luoyang slewing bearing, the mounting surface of the host machine should be inspected first. The supporting members must have sufficient strength, and the connecting surfaces should be machined, with the surface being flat and free of debris and burrs. For surfaces that cannot be machined to achieve the required flatness, a high-strength special plastic filler can be injected to ensure the accuracy of the mounting plane and to provide vibration reduction.

The rings of the Luoyang slewing bearing have a quench-softened zone, which is marked with an "S" on the end face of each ring. During installation, this soft zone should be positioned in the unloaded zone or the non-frequent-load zone (the plug hole is always located at the soft zone).
When installing the Luoyang slewing bearing, radial positioning should be carried out first, then the mounting bolts should be tightened in a cross (crisscross) sequence, and the rotation condition of the bearing should be checked. When tightening the bolts, sufficient preload should be applied, and the preload should be 70% of the yield strength of the bolt material. Quenched and tempered flat washers should be used with the mounting bolts, and the use of spring washers is prohibited.
